By Jay Tilles
The Glendale Heights, Illinois, home where Billy Corgan spent his childhood is up for sale and a mere $175,000 will get you this piece of rock ‘n’ roll history.
Built in 1969, the four-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bathroom bi-level Du Page County home measures 1,531 square feet and features a two-car attached garage, huge yard, sundeck and central air.
Having been listed for 31 days, there’s a good chance the owners will negotiate.
Corgan tweeted the listing today (April 28), commenting that the ninth picture shows off the room he and his brother shared.

Meanwhile, Corgan is busy preparing two new Smashing Pumpkins albums for 2015 titled Monuments To An Elegy and Day For Night. According to a post on The Panopticon, the band’s official website, Corgan has committed to wrapping up recording by Aug. 15. Addressing the sound Corgan said, “Think: ‘guitars, guitars, guitars, and more guitars;’ but more so on the epic side of things than say, grossly metallic.”
