Avicii famously saw his stratospheric career trajectory hit a speed bump earlier this year when he had to cancel his highly hyped headlining slot at Miami’s Ultra Music Festival after a health scare sidelined the “Wake Me Up” producer.
Now, he’s taken to his Twitter account to let fans know that he’s on the mend and ready to get back on the decks, announcing his imminent return.
“Feels great to get back to normal again!,” the Swedish artist tweeted, revealing that he’s set to perform this Friday, May 2, at Las Vegas nightclub, XS.
He eventually had to undergo emergency surgery in Miami, during which he had his gallbladder and a ruptured appendix removed. The surgery caused the DJ/producer to cancel a string of shows, as well as postpone the start of the U.S. tour in support of his debut full-length effort, True.

Tickets for Avicii’s return are going for $50 (plus additional service fees) for guys, while the ladies get a reduced rate of $20 (also with reduced service fees) at the Wynn Social venue.
Avicii was recently among the headliners of the second annual TomorrowWorld EDM festival outside of Atlanta, Georgia, set for the weekend of Sept. 26-28.
