Guns N’ Roses Guitarist Says Look for New Music

By Courtney E. Smith

We’ve gotten used to a long wait between Guns N’ Roses albums, but it seems the next one could come as early as next year.

Billboard reports that GnR guitarist Richard Fortus dropped the bomb on the red carpet of the Revolver Golden God Awards in Los Angeles on Wednesday (April 23).

“We are working on stuff and hopefully very soon we’re going to have new stuff out. Well, in the next year,” Fortus said.

This is great news for fans of the band who waited 15 years for Chinese Democracy, which was released after much delay in 2008. But then again, this is the exact same sort of teasing that went on during that 15-year wait. The hardcore are likely to take a wait and see attitude to the news.

Axl Rose was receiving a Lifetime Achievement Award at the ceremony.

Fortus further said the group would be getting together to “lay down some more stuff” in Las Vegas. Watch the full video below.
