Gwen Stefani Reportedly Joining ‘The Voice’

By Brian Ives

The Voice will be adding more star power to its judges panel, according to a report by Us Weekly.

The magazine says that No Doubt‘s Gwen Stefani will get her own rotating chair for the NBC show’s upcoming eighth season. Stefani will fill in for Christina Aguilera, who recently announced she is pregnant with her second child. The season starts filming in June.

Also joining the show for the new season is Pharrell Williams, who will take Cee-Lo Green’s spot on the judges panel.

Stefani, who gave birth to her third child in February, joined Williams onstage at Coachella last weekend for their 2004 collaboration, Stefani’s solo hit “Hollaback Girl”.

Stefani has not been especially prolific on the musical front in recent years; her last album was No Doubt’s 2012 reunion effort, Push and Shove, which was her first full length since her 2006 solo album The Sweet Escape. However, she has been rather busy as a fashion designer, dedicating time to a shoe and handbag line called gx by Gwen Stefani. Additionally, her L.A.M.B. company has a new collaboration with lingerie company Hanky Panky for their own line of intimate wear.
