Miley Cyrus Hospitalized For Severe Allergic Reaction, Cancels Shows

By Courtney E. Smith

Fans of Miley Cyrus got word via some surprising tweets from the pop star, confirming that she is is in the hospital and won’t be playing yesterday night’s show in Kansas City, Missouri and more this morning stating she won’t make her St. Louis show tonight either.

CNN confirmed via Cyrus’s reps on Tuesday (April 16) that she was hospitalized for “a severe allergic reaction to antibiotics.” This follows another tour illness earlier, when the flu caused her to cancel a show in North Carolina.

“I can’t get a hold of my team because it is so early so I want to be the one to tell my fans especially the ones trekking to get there,” the singer tweeted. “[T]he hospital is sayin i wont b released today therefore Im not going 2 make it 2 St Louis. Im so sorry but somethings are outta my control.”

Cyrus also took aim at some tweeters who were apparently displeased about the cancellations and not afraid to vocalize their feelings.

For those wanting a close-up look at Cyrus, she is featured on the cover of this month’s Elle magazine, which happens to be the women in music issue, available on newsstands now.
