Blood Money, whose given name is Mario Hess, was signed to Interscope Records two weeks ago, his cousin and manager Renaldo Reuben Hess told CBS Chicago. He reportedly recorded several songs for the label in Los Angeles last week and collected a $50,000 advance.
Blood Money was featured on Chief Keef’s “F— Rehab,” the video of which can be seen below.
At around 5:45 a.m. CT, someone with access to Blood Money’s Twitter account logged on to post two tweets that include the hash tag “#BloodMoneyLivesForever.”
Chief Keef responded to the tragedy by posting a simple picture to his Instagram of the rapper, with no caption.
