Where’s Snoop Dogg going to be around this April 20 (4/20)? Washington state and Colorado, of course.
The rapper announced via his website that he and friend/fellow rapper/greatest film of all time Mac & Devin Go to High School co-star Wiz Khalifa will play two separate concerts — deemed “Wellness Retreats,” because of course they are — to celebrate the unofficial international marijuana-smoking holiday 4/20 in the two states where ballot initiatives were passed legalizing recreational pot use, according to Rolling Stone.
Starting April 19, the duo will take over Seattle, Wash., at the WaMu Theater, accompanied by to-be-determined special guests.
They’ll follow the show with a blowout on April 20 at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Denver, Colo. There, they’ll be joined by rappers YG and Smoke DZA. The latter’s 2011 debut album is titled Rolling Stoned, in case you were questioning his motives for attendance.
Want tickets? Some are still available at the Seattle show, but it’s high-ly unlikely you’ll be going to Denver; general admission tickets are currently sold out.
Perhaps attendees will catch a whiff of some new Snoop music? The rapper is reportedly recording his final album under the moniker, after a recent foray into reggae as Snoop Lion.
