It seems like it’s been ages since Frank Ocean‘s channel ORANGE  took the music world by storm, and now the singer is approaching a followup to the acclaimed record.

In a post on his Tumblr, the R&B singer confirmed he might not attend Coachella, which begins this weekend and also runs the next, instead opting to “stay in the groove” and finish his next album, which would be his first since 2012. Missing Coachella wouldn’t be particularly troubling for anyone but Ocean himself; he’s not performing at this year’s festival and would be there as a spectator.

However, he added about Outkast, who’s reuniting at the fest: “I feel like they’re finna wild out tho,” and weighed the option of taking a helicopter out anyway.

That’s not all he had to say about Outkast; the Odd Future crewman also revealed he’ll be opening for the Atlanta hip-hop duo at this year’s Pemberton Music Festival, which revealed its full lineup today (April 9). Nine Inch Nails, deadmau5, Soundgarden and Kendrick Lamar are also among those performing at the fest, which will be held July 18-20 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

The hotly-anticipated new album would follow channel ORANGE, which scored critical acclaim upon its July 2012 release and garnered Ocean GRAMMY nominations for album of the year, best new artist and record of the year for “Thinkin Bout You.” He eventually won the distinction of best urban contemporary album.

Ocean hasn’t been completely quiet on the music front in between albums. Last month, he released “Hero,” a collaboration with Diplo and the Clash‘s Mick Jones and Paul Simonon as part of Converse’s Three Artists, One Song series.
