Old-school hip-hop heads, this just might be the summer tour for you.

A litany of rap’s elder statesmen from across the 1980s and ’90s are uniting for the ‘Masters of Ceremony Hip-Hop Reunion,’ a tour that will feature such classic MCs as DMX, Naughty By Nature, Rakim (who’s featured on the latest Linkin Park single, “Guilty All the Same”) and Biz Markie. Other acts slated for the summer outing include Black Sheep, EPMD, Special Ed, Big Daddy Kane and Das EFX.

According to Billboard, the jaunt was inspired by last year’s successful ‘Masters of Ceremony’ event at New York’s Radio City Music Hall, which featured Slick Rick and Brand Nubian alongside many of the acts going out on the upcoming tour version, including DMX and Naughty By Nature.

“The Radio City Music Hall concert was an incredible hip-hop reunion that took you back to the true essence of hip-hop,” said Parrish Smith of the duo EPMD.

So far, only five dates have been announced: Miami (July 11), Orlando (July 12), Los Angeles (July 18), Oakland, Calif. (July 19) and Atlanta (July 26). More dates are expected in the near future.
