With the 20th anniversary of Hole‘s classic 1994 full-length Live Through This coming up later this month, Courtney Love has announced that she’s reunited the late-’90s line-up of the band that recorded the 1998 follow-up, Celebrity Skin.

The revelation came during an interview with The Quietus, where Love revealed that she’d been rehearsing new material with Eric Erlandson (guitar), Patty Schemel (drums) and Melissa Auf der Mauer (bass).

“I started playing with Patty and Melissa and Eric, just to see how that was,” Love said. “We already played like three or four times in the last week.”

Love hinted at a potential reunion of Hole’s most famous line-up last December, when she posted a picture of herself with Erlandson captioned, “2014 going to be a very interesting year.”

The ’90s version of Hole last reconvened for a public performance back in April 2012 at the after-party for the release of documentary Hit So Hard: The Life and Near Death of Patty Schemel, which chronicled the drummer’s life and bouts with heroin and crack addiction.

Love is set to embark on a UK tour next month, and is also planning on finally releasing the long-discussed new single, “Wedding Day,” around the same time.
