Taylor Swift‘s music has been covered by many artists and fans alike. Most recently, though the singer’s country pop track “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” has been covered by the cast of Harry Potter. Sort of.
Earlier this week, SilvaWare Productions uploaded a video which spliced together clips from the Harry Potter franchise showing Ron, Hermione, Dumbledore and others saying the lyrics of “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.”
Released on Sunday, (Feb. 23), the video has already amassed nearly 50,000 views.
Even better than Harry Potter lip syncing Taylor Swift is knowing that the Red singer is back in the studio working on new music. Yesterday, (Feb. 27) her label confirmed the news on Twitter as well. While Swift hasn’t revealed too many details, in an interview last fall she explained the direction she plans to go in.
“I think the goal for the next album is to continue to change, and never change in the same way twice,” she said. “How do I write these figurative diary entries in ways that I’ve never written them before and to a sonic backdrop that I’ve never explored before? It’s my fifth album, which is crazy to think about, but I think what I’m noticing about it so far is it’s definitely taking a different turn than anything I’ve done before.”
