Eli Young Band‘s new album 10,000 Towns will drop next week (March 4), but that doesn’t mean fans have to wait until then to hear new music. Today (Feb. 27), Rolling Stone premiered “Let’s Do Something Tonight,” one of the new tracks from the album.

Written by Jimmy Robbins, David Lee Murphy and Jon Nite, “Let’s Do Something Tonight” is a ballad that embodies a relatable storyline of not wanting the night to end and features the sort of sing-along chorus that the Eli Young Band is known for. Listen for yourself.

“‘Let’s Do Something Tonight’ is that ‘I’m ready to do something dangerous’ song,” lead singer Mike Eli told Rolling Stone. “I think maybe that’s why we love it so much. It felt like that Friday night anthem that our band has never really had, and this song accomplishes that without being cliche.”

He added: “We knew we had to record this tune from day one of making this album. A simple idea but not treading water in that boring, been there/done that territory.”
