Stream Pharrell’s New Album, ‘G I R L’

Now you can be as happy as Pharrell says he is. The singer’s new album, G I R L, which features his Oscar-nominated song “Happy,” is currently streaming on iTunes Radio.

Pharrell’s latest, which officially drops next Monday (March 3), features guest spots from Daft PunkJustin TimberlakeMiley Cyrus and Alicia Keys, along with string arrangements by Hans Zimmer, who Pharrell is working with on the upcoming Spiderman soundtrack.

It’s the singer’s first solo release since 2006’s In My Mind and as Pharrell pointed out, it’s a bit different than his last one.  Specifically that there’s no rapping on the record. “It’s focused,” he said. “That’s the difference between 30 and 40. ’Cause I was 30, now I’m 40—and I’m not rapping.”

This Sunday, Pharrell will hit the stage at the 86th Annual Academy Awards to sing, not rap his song “Happy” from Despicable Me 2. The Oscar-nominated song will compete against Karen O, U2 and Disney’s Frozen for the Best Original Song statue.
