Lady Gaga recorded and released 15 songs for her latest album, ARTPOP, but there are several songs that didn’t make the grade and remain buried in the Gaga Vault, as it were. A song called “Brooklyn Nights” just hit the web, and while the snippet is very bad quality (like really bad, like it sounds like someone taped it off an answering machine), it still has her Little Monsters intrigued.
Titled “Brooklyn Nights,” the 30-second clip has Gaga singing about her former nights in the borough, with uncombed hair. Listen below.
According to Gagapedia, yes it exists, the song was written by Gaga while she was on her Monster Ball Tour in 2010. She originally planned to include the song on ARTPOP, but when the album dropped it was nowhere to be found. Instead, it was set to be available through her ARTPOP app.
Gaga was an audience guest last night on Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show premiere. Tonight, (Feb. 18) she will be Fallon’s musical guest. While Fallon brought the Tonight Show back to New York, maybe Gaga will perform a New York-centric song, like “Brooklyn Nights.” Tune in tonight to see.
