Kanye West Playing Seth Meyers’ First Week at ‘Late Night’

While Jimmy Fallon will kick off his first week hosting The Tonight Show with a pretty stellar lineup of musical guests—U2, Lady Gaga, Tim McGraw, his bff Justin Timberlake—Seth Meyers just managed to one-up him.
Yes, the godly Mr. West will take the stage at Studio 8H in Rockefeller Center on February 25 to perform one of the song’s off his latest album, Yeezus. On that night’s episode, Kanye will be joined by Robyn Doolittle, the Toronto Star reporter who had a hand in breaking the Rob Ford drug story.
The show officially premieres the night (Feb. 24) before with Amy Poehler, her character, Leslie Knope’s favorite politico, Vice President Joe Biden and musical guest A Great Big World.
According to the photo, the rest of the week will be rounded out by appearances from Kelly Ripa, Girls’ Lena Dunham, Anthony Mackie, comedian Michael Che, Sophia Bush, Ian McKellan and Patrick Stewart, along with musical performances from Brad Paisley and John Mayer Trio.
Meyers is definitely going for the coolness factor when it comes to the show’s music. He recently announced that his SNL pal Fred Armisen will be the show’s bandleader.
