The spokeswoman for being “born this way,” Lady Gaga addressed her legions of fans yesterday (Jan. 23) to support Justin Bieber in his “time of crisis” (or whatever you want to call this). On her Little Monsters social network, she wrote a heartfelt message to her fans, urging to “spread love and compassion to Beliebers.”
Hey monsters. I know everyone today is talking about Justin’s arrest and all sorts of words and judgements are happening on the Internet. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and to stand up for themselves, but I think we should be supportive of Beliebers. They deserve, just like any other fan, to feel strong for each other and Justin so they can continue to share the bond they have through music. We may not understand everything celebrities do because there’s only so much we see, but Justin and Beliebers were ‘born this way’ too. Let’s spread love and compassion to Beliebers today. That is what we are all about. Can you trend #MonstersSupportBeliebers ?

Today (Jan. 24), Bieber also took to a social network to address his arrest. An Instagram photo has him sitting on a SUV waving to fans upon his release from jail, alongside a photo of his idol, Michael Jackson. The photo of MJ, also on the top of a car, is from him exiting a Santa Maria, Calif., courthouse after he pled not guilty to child-molestation charges in 2004.
Under the photo he wrote “What more can they say,” which is either just a vague thing he’s saying or a lyric from Jay Z‘s Black Album track “What More Can I Say.”
Yesterday afternoon, Bieber was released from jail after his Miami Beach arrest. His bail was set at $2,500, which includes charges from him resisting arrest without violence, a DUI and driving with an expired drivers license. The arrest report states that upon arrest, the officer smelled an “odor of alcohol emanating from the drivers breath and bloodshot eyes.”
