Taking a page out of the GRAMMYs playbook, the Academy of Country Music is turning the announcement of this year’s ACM Awards nominees into an event itself. As the Academy announced today, the nominees for the 49th annual ACM Awards will be unveiled in a star-studded press conference and online event taking place live on Wednesday, January 29 at 9:30am ET (6:30am PT).

The press conference will be available to watch live via the ACM’s Facebook page and Twitter feed.

Among the artists and celebrities participating in the unveiling are Darius Rucker, Jerrod Niemann, Lucy Hale, reigning ACM Songwriter of the Year Dallas Davidson, CBS This Morning co-anchor Gayle King, sports broadcaster Erin Andrews, 2 Broke Girls star Beth Behrs, The Insider co-anchor Kevin Frazier, Entertainment Tonight co-anchor Nancy O’Dell, Duck Dynasty stars Willie and Korie Robertson and The Talk hosts Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Aisha Tyler & Sheryl Underwood. Additional surprise guests are promised as well, including some announcing category nominations in online videos posted in real time.

The only nominees announced so far have been the eight finalists who are vying for first-round honors in the New Artist of the Year category. Voting is currently open through Feb. 4, and fans can vote once each day.

As they did last year, country stars Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan are again hosting the ACM Awards ceremony, which airs live from Las Vegas on Sunday, April 6 at 8pm ET on CBS.
