At a show Down Under yesterday (Jan. 22), Arcade Fire decided to honor hometown heroes INXS with a cover of their 1988 song, “Devil Inside.”

For their version of the song, Win Butler does his best Michael Hutchence impression, creepily shouting at the crowd, “With flesh on her mind/Words as weapons sharper than knives/Makes you wonder how the other half die.”

Fan shot footage of the cover shows Butler wearing his big papier mâché head, bobbing along to the last few lines of the song, before launching into “Here Comes The Night Time” off their latest album Reflektor.

The band is currently playing a few gigs in Australia, but are heading back to the States on March 6 for their upcoming North American tour, which kicks off in Louisville, KY. They’re also set to headline both weekends of this year’s Coachella this April.

Arcade Fire was also recently nominated for Best Score at this year’s Oscars for composing the music for Spike Jonze’s movie Her. Listen to a stream of the soundtrack below.

This year’s awards saw a few other musicians earn a chance to take home Oscar gold including Best Original Song nominees Pharrell, Karen O from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, U2 and Jared Leto, who is up for Best Supporting Actor.

The 86th Annual Academy Awards airs March 2 on ABC.
