Big & Rich Announce ‘Fresh’ New Album on Their Own Label

By Annie Reuter

Big & Rich are gearing up to release new music this year on their own label, Big & Rich Records. The country duo are also teaming with Kobalt Label Services to help release their forthcoming album themselves. Calling 2014 a “new milestone” for the band, both John Rich and Big Kenny said they’re excited to get new music to fans.

“We’re completely invigorated to be working with Kobalt and New Revolution and taking this new approach for this exciting album,” John Rich and Big Kenny said in a joint statement. “The music is very fresh, and we’re in a new creative groove which we hope our fans and new audiences will like.”

The guys will release their first single “Look at You” this year and New Revolution Entertainment will handle the national radio promotion.

“All of us at NRE are over the top excited about this partnership. ‘Look At You’ is a very obvious sounding commercial smash. This project is top shelf and deep with big singles,” said Rob Dalton of NRE.

Last summer, John Rich took to Twitter to reveal that the duo already cut 10 songs for their forthcoming LP, later joking that he and Big Kenny finally agreed on something.

Big & Rich aren’t the only country act dropping new music on their own. Last month, Martina McBride revealed that she’ll be releasing her R&B covers album, Everlasting, via Kobalt on March 4.

Big & Rich’s last album, Hillbilly Jedi, was released in 2012 via Warner Bros. Their chart-topping single “Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy)” celebrates its tenth anniversary this year.
