Coachella and Governors Ball have a lot in common. Specifically, the big-name headliner.

Less than 24 hours after Coachella announced that a reunited OutKast (as well as Arcade Fire and Muse) would headline the So-Cal fest this year, OutKast has now been confirmed as the headliner for New York City’s Gov Ball. A Governors Ball rep told Rolling Stone that OutKast will be making their first New York appearance in over a decade there. Quite a lot of action for a duo that: a) has been broken up for more than five years; b) was never a big touring/festival act in the first place. But hey, no one’s complaining!

Governors Ball will be held at Randall’s Island Park in New York from June 6-8. The three-day fest will announce its full lineup next week as well as ticket details, with 80+ additional artists TBA. In the meantime, the festival will continue to give hints about the lineup and throw well-timed shade at Coachella via social media.

Last year’s Governors Ball featured a surprisingly ontime set by Guns N’ Roses, a postponed performance by Kings of Leon, an introduction to Haim‘s stellar 2013, and an unforgettable rant by a pre-Yeezus Kanye.
