Brad Paisley to Perform During People’s Choice Awards

GRAMMY-winning country superstar Brad Paisley is among the artists slated to perform during the People’s Choice Awards next Wednesday (Jan. 8), it was announced today.

Paisley will join previously announced performers Sara Bareilles and One Republic on the 40th annual award show.

The list of artists nominated this year includes Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood, The Band Perry, Lady Antebellum, Taylor Swift, George Strait and Willie Nelson.

In addition, People’s Choice revealed today that Drew Barrymore, Nina Dobrev, Robert Downey Jr., Zac Efron, Anna Faris, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Queen Latifah, Melissa McCarthy, Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake will be among those attending the show this year. Previously announced participants include Christina Aguilera, Sandra Bullock, Ellen DeGeneres, Josh Holloway and LL COOL J.

Speaking of LL COOL J, earlier this year he and Paisley shared headlines thanks to their controversial collaboration on the song “Accidental Racist,” which appeared on Paisley’s 2013 album Wheelhouse.

The 40th annual People’s Choice Awards will be broadcast live from L.A. on Wednesday, Jan. 8 starting at 9pm ET (delayed PT) on CBS. Voting is still open to fans in select categories.

The very next day after the award show, Paisley kicks off his Beat This Winter Tour all the way across the country in Greenville, South Carolina.
