The Pixies have lost two bassists named Kim this year — Deal and the recently dismissed Shattuck — but now they’ve found a replacement. And surprise, surprise, her name isn’t Kim.

The band announced via their website today (Dec. 9) that Paz Lenchantin — who has spent time in A Perfect Circle, the Entrance Band and Billy Corgan’s other band, Zwan — will join them on their upcoming tour, which kicks off on January 15 in Toronto, ON. The trek makes its way to the states on January 18 for a gig in Boston, MA.

The band also nabbed a one-off opening gig for Arcade Fire this summer, but unfortunately you’ll have to head to Dublin to see it.

Along with the announcement of a new member,  the band also put out a video for “Another Toe in the Ocean” off their recently released EP-1.

The clip features a cartoon version of Frank Black — soul patch, included — trying to survive a rather dangerous day.
