In celebration of the Essence Festival’s 20th anniversary next year, Prince will lead the festivities down in New Orleans, much as he did for the festival’s 10th anniversary.

The four-day event will take place at the Superdome during Fourth of July weekend (July 3-6) 2014. Additional performers, speakers and events will be announced in the coming weeks.

To purchase tickets and VIP packages, visit ticket packages range from $130 – $1,350. Single night tickets will be available closer to the festival weekend.

This year’s festival included sets from Beyonce, Brandy, Janelle Monae, Emeli Sande, Jill Scott and Maxwell.

Prince has been releasing new tracks throughout the year, including “Breakfast Can Wait,” “Groovy Potential,” “Extraloveable Reloaded” and “Ain’t Gonna Miss U When U’re Gone,’” prepping fans for his forthcoming album tentatively titled Plectrum Electrum. It is not confirmed that these singles will be included on the long-rumored full-length with his new band, 3RDEYEGIRL, but his live shows, which continue through next summer, remain a hopeful indication that new music is on the way.
