Not every artist has the ability to crash VEVO. Lorde revealed her new video for “Team” today (Dec. 3), but within minutes the video was unavailable to watch due to overwhelming traffic.

“Team,” the third single off Pure Heroine, features her familiarly haunting vocals. Surrounded by nature within the video, “Team” brings the tale of a teenager’s world to life. The premise of the video came to the singer in the form of a dream.

“This video was borne from a dream I had a few months ago about teenagers in their own world, a world with hierarchies and initiations, where the boy who was second in command had acne on his face, and so did the girl who was queen,” she wrote on Facebook. “Dreamt about this world being so different to anything anyone had ever seen, a dark world full of tropical plants and ruins and sweat. and of this world, I dreamt about tests that didn’t need to be passed in order to be allowed in: sometimes the person who loses is stronger.”

In addition to a completely unreal year for the 17-year-old, she recently had a bit of fun covering Sheryl Crow’s “Strong Enough” alongside fellow alt-pop darlings, Haim. Watch all that shimmying goodness here, and get ready for Lorde’s performance this Saturday (Dec. 7) on the Live 105 Not So Silent Night stream right here on Radio.com.
