Anyone who’s been watching this season of American Horror Story knows that Stevie Nicks‘ spirit has already been a supporting character on the show. But according to the show’s creator, Ryan Murphy, Nicks is now expected to appear on the show in the flesh.

Earlier today Murphy took to Twitter to announce the Fleetwood Mac singer’s upcoming cameo.

The third season of the mini-series, called American Horror Story: Coven, takes place in present-day New Orleans, flashing back to the 1830s, and focuses on all the black magic the city has to offer. One character in particular, Misty Day (played by Lily Rabe), is a necromancer who is especially obsessed with Nicks, copying her style and using “Rhiannon” as her theme song.

In an interview with Entertainment WeeklyMurphy talked about calling Nicks to ask her if he could use her likeness on the show.

“When we got to this witch idea, I thought, if you’re Misty and you have grown up alone and you don’t know any other witches, there’s one witch you probably would know and that’s Stevie Nicks,” Murphy told the mag. “So I called Stevie Nicks and first I said, ‘I want to use you in the show.’ But she was very resistant because from the beginning of her career people who are in the Wiccan community had given her a hard time thinking she was a witch and she got a lot of scary fan letters. She didn’t like the darkness of that, and I explained to her the part and she’s like, ‘Aw f***, let’s just do it. OK, I love it.’”

No word yet on whether or not Nicks will play herself on the show. But it is safe to assume she will wear her own witchy wardrobe for the guest spot.
