Update (10/29, 12:45 p.m. ET): While the investigation is ongoing from Monday’s tour bus accident, new details reveal that the man struck and killed has obstructed traffic previously. A press release from the Vicennes Police Department states that Albert Kennedy was arrested earlier in the month when walking in the center of the roadway on U.S. Highway 41 S., “causing vehicles to have to brake on the highway.” Having been previously warned by law enforcement to stay out of the roadway, he was arrested for Obstructing Traffic on October 8. He was later arrested on October 22 for stealing a bicycle and was charged with theft, a class D felony and held at the Knox County Jail on $6,500 bond.

Jason Aldean was wrapping up his Night Train Tour in Indiana and headed on vacation early Monday morning (October 28) when a man stepped in front of his bus and died. Aldean took to Twitter and Facebook to send prayers to the family who lost Albert Kennedy.

“With a heavy heart, I’m sad to say that a man passed away last night after stepping out in front of my bus in Indiana. In all the years I’ve been touring and all the miles we’ve driven, nothing prepares you for something like this to happen. I’m praying for Albert Kennedy’s family and friends today and ask that you do the same,” Adean wrote.

According to reports, at 1:28 a.m. Kennedy walked out into the middle of the roadway and was struck by Aldean’s bus. The bus was headed northbound on US 41 North in Knox County, Ind. An investigation behind the accident is currently underway.

Radio.com recently spent time with Aldean during his tour stop in Memphis where the “Night Train” singer talked of his year on the road.

“It’s been a good year, but we’re looking forward to a couple months off,” Aldean said. “It’s kind of hard to sit there and let it sink in when you’re constantly playing shows and working. You don’t have time to reflect on it a whole lot. For me, these next couple months is a time when I have a lot of down time to sit down and take it all in, and look back and realize how big a year it’s been.”
