Eminem and Rihanna have a fruitful collaborative past, to say the least. When the pair got together for 2010 single “Love the Way You Lie” on Eminem’s Recovery album, it went on to be the best-selling song in his controversial career to date, holding the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 for seven weeks.
For the latest song to be revealed from Eminem’s highly anticipated new album, Marshall Mathers LP 2, the rapper has again connected with the Barbadian pop star for single “The Monster,” which was officially set to debut on Detroit’s 98.7 AMP Radio (a Radio.com station) at 7:45 p.m. EST. The rapper himself took to his Instagram account earlier in the day (Oct. 28) to announce that the song would actually premiere on his Sirius Satellite Radio show, Shade 45 (above).
“The Monster” is the fourth single to be revealed from Eminem’s upcoming eighth studio album, which is scheduled for release on November 5. Previously released songs include “Berzerk,” “Survival” and “Rap God.”
The two also worked together on the song “Numb,” found on Rihanna’s 2012 full-length, Unapologetic.
