Last night (October 24), Pearl Jam finally hit the stage at Late Night with Jimmy Fallon to celebrate the week named in their honor.
For the band’s first appearance during Pearl Jam Week–they’re set to take the stage again tonight–they offered up “Sirens,” the first single off their recently released album, Lightning Bolt.
On the track, Vedder crooned about the fragility of life, offering up lines like, “This life has been a light and I can see clear/
Oh, I have to take your hand and feel your breath.”
Earlier this week, artists from all walks of life including Chris Cornell with the Avett Brothers, Robin Pecknold from the Fleet Foxes and Dierks Bentley performed different Pearl Jam hits in honor of the band’s tenth studio album.
Pearl Jam’s latest record is currently No. 1 on the Billboard 200, selling 166,000 copies in its first week, according to Billboard.
