Dierks Bentley took a break from the studio to join Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready last night on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Part of Fallon’s Pearl Jam week, the country singer took the stage with McCready for a performance of the band’s famous “Alive” and put his own spin on the track. Watch it below.

Bentley took to Twitter earlier in the day, joking with fans that he might wear a Blake Shelton shirt on the show.

Bentley is just one of several artists performing Pearl Jam songs on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon this week in support of the band’s new album, Lightning Bolt. On Monday, Chris Cornell and the Avett Brothers performed “Footsteps,” while Fleet Foxes singer Robin Pecknold performed “Corduroy” on Tuesday. Pearl Jam join Fallon tonight and Friday.

Bentley’s follow-up to 2012’s Home is due for release early next year. His new single, “I Hold On” is out now.
