Be careful what you say, as it can cost you your job. At least this was the case for rapper Future.
While he claims he was misquoted in a recent Billboard article that dissed Drake, once tourmate and headliner Drizzy got wind of the situation he quickly booted Future from his roster.
In an interview published online earlier this month, Future gave Billboard a preview of his forthcoming album, Honest, due out in 2014. The article ended with a slight dig at rappers everywhere. “I’ve been on the songs of all these rappers that put out an album, and my music is still better,” Future said. But it was what wasn’t published that has the Internet talking.
Billboard Associate Editor Erika Ramirez took to Twitter to write some Future quotes that didn’t appear in her article online.
"Drake made an album that is full of hits but it doesn't grab you. They're not possessive; they don't make you feel the way I do." - Future—

Future fired back, but the damage was already done.

While the quotes weren’t published in the article, once Drake heard about them he reportedly asked his agent to fire Future or he would fire him himself.
Drake’s Would You Like a Tour? kicks off this Friday in Pittsburgh with Miguel. The 39-dates would have earned Future around $40,000 per gig. It has been reported that Future will file a lawsuit this week over lost wages, which are an estimated $1.5 million.
