Bruno Mars is breaking out and getting sexy. He used his Facebook page to debut the official music video for “Gorilla,” the fourth single off his second studio album, 2012’s Unorthodox Jukebox.
The steamy six-minute clip is set in a south-of-the-border strip club, opening with a backstage scene depicting two of the club’s dancers dishing about a new girl and her relationship with house band leader Mars. The opening sequence also features a cameo appearance by actor Luis Guzman (Boogie Nights, Traffic) as the club’s owner.
Mars and his band perform the song behind dancer “Isabella” (portrayed by Slumdog Millionaire actress Freida Pinto) as she performs an elaborate and provocative routine on a stripper’s pole set in the middle of the bill-littered stage. The club scenes are interspersed with shots of Mars and the pole dancer getting hot and heavy in the back of a car.
Mars’ star trajectory is set to go stratospheric, thanks to the recent announcement that the Hawaii-born singer/songwriter has been tapped as the halftime entertainment for the upcoming Super Bowl XLVIII, scheduled for February 2, 2014, at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ.
