A Perfect Circle, a supergroup of dour metal heroes made up of Tool’s Maynard James Keenan, guitarist Billy Howerdel and friends, are about to put out a greatest hits comp titled Three Sixty this coming November 18. Included on the 13-track (or 19 tracks deluxe) gathering of APC songs is a new tune the band wrote during their 2010-2011 tour titled “By and Down.” It’s a five-and-a-half-minute melodic minor-key dirge  “Searching your eyes for a hint or a trace of humility.” Hear the emotive, slow build over at SPIN.

APC also plan to digitally release their sold-out box set collection, A Perfect Circle Live: Featuring Stone and Echo. The box contains live performances of all three of their studio albums — Mer de Noms (2000), Thirteenth Step (2003), eMOTIVe (2004) — a DVD of a 2011 performance at Red Rocks.

“Some of the songs we haven’t played in eight to 10 years,” frontman Keenan recently told Rolling Stone about the box set. “Some of them we hadn’t played at all. In the box that you have, you have those three CDs, and then you have us live at Red Rocks. Always fun to play Red Rocks.”

The box set is due out November 28.
