Hear Pitbull & Kesha Shout-Out Lumberjacks & Miley Cyrus on New Track ‘Timber’

Kesha and Pitbull write an ode for lumberjacks everywhere with their new single, “Timber.”

On the track, which premiered on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show today (October 7), Kesha sings her most G-rated chorus yet, “It’s going down, I’m yelling timber,”over a harmonica-dominated dosey doe beat.

Of course, she can’t keep her sassiness bottled up for long and is soon letting all the boys know, “Let’s make a night you won’t remember/ I’ll be the one you won’t forget.”

Pitbull pipes in too, detailing his Don Juan ways: “I have ’em like Miley Cyrus, clothes off/Twerkin’ in their bras and thongs.” And let’s all the ladies in the club know, “I’m slicker than an oil spill/ She said she won’t, but I bet she will.”

Pitbull says his new song was inspired by Avicii’s recent bluegrass hit “Wake Me Up.”

“I’ve been all around the world touring and it was a record from Avicii that was so big and had this country feel to it, so when this record came down produced by Dr. Luke, Cirkut…I said, ‘Man I need to get my hands on that'” Pitbull said. “And being on tour with Kesha, we hit it off and what better than to have a crazy sexy cool beautiful woman on it with me.”

The two, who teamed up this spring for a remix of Kesha’s single “Crazy Kids,” are currently touring the world together, kicking off the Australian leg of their joint tour on October 30.

The single hits iTunes on October 13.
