Britney Spears is back and hotter than ever, as the pop superstar has finally debuted her breathlessly anticipated music video for steamy comeback single, “Work Bitch.”

Spears has been steadily teasing the video leading up to tonight’s official October 1 release date, issuing sexy still images and a quick clip taken from the finished product on her Instagram account.

“I think this is a more adult Britney, definitely a more adult Britney,” the video’s director, Ben Mor, told MTV News about the sleek clip, packed with eye-popping costume changes and Spears getting down in a fierce desert dance routine that recalls the Spice Girls’ video for 1996 single, “Say You’ll Be There.” “You can’t have soft visuals for a song called ‘Work Bitch,’ and we sure as hell didn’t.”

The high-energy dance track is the first single from Spears’ still-untitled eighth studio album, which is set for release on Dec. 3. It’s the first full-length from the singer since 2011 album Femme Fatale, which featured such hits as “Hold it Against Me.”

Spears’ new video comes out exactly one day after the 15-year anniversary of the release of her legendary debut single, “…Baby One More Time,” which was originally slated for R&B girl group TLC, who turned down the track. The rest is Britney history.
