Watch the Weeknd and Drake Go Underground in New ‘Live For’ Video

With the Weeknd releasing his anticipated first official studio album, Kiss Land, this week (Sept. 10), the mysterious alt-R&b artist has recruited friend, champion and fellow Toronto native, Drake, for an appearance in the new music video for the album’s third single, “Live For.”

The stark, shadowy clip finds Weeknd mastermind Abel Tesfaye alone in an underground train station, singing the song’s confessional and depraved lyrics about life on the road, packed with references to drugs, threesomes and “living dreams we can never afford.”

The song’s featured rapper, Drake, shows up riding a shadowy elevator before dropping his extensive and equally debauched verse, referencing strippers with “hips all on 45, waist all on 24,” Hennessey and “having h–s like Prince, but they know I’m king.”

The Weeknd is preparing to embark on an extensive tour of America, which kicks off in Berkeley, CA, this Friday, September 13, before heading down the West Coast for shows in Santa Barbara (Sept. 14) and a two-night stand at Los Angeles’ Greek Theatre (Sept 16-17).
