R. Kelly’s new album, Black Panties, will be out November 11, his camp confirms to Radio.com.

The release date appears to have been low-key revealed at a recent listening session with Kellz, filmed by Revolt TV, which featured a backdrop emblazoned with “Black Panties 11.11.” As the R&B mainstay says in Revolt’s footage (below), his 12th album focuses in part on turning tragedy into triumph. “Much like the guy that catches the football, he runs,” Kelly explained. “I feel like I got that ball in my hands still, I’m still running.”

Last week, Kellz premiered the video for the album’s first single, “My Story” featuring 2 Chainz, with Kelly focusing on his journey from being broke in Chicago to “sleeping in Versace shirts.” Watch below.

Kelly recently appeared on the remix of Phoenix’s “Trying To Be Cool,” letting everyone know when he gets in the club he’s gonna “holler at the honeys…take a few shots and throw a little money.” Oh, to be R. Kelly.

Robert also stopped by Atlanta’s V-103 (a Radio.com station) to discuss Black Panties and his return to his roots with the album. Watch that interview below.
