Charli XCX Has Written A Song For Britney Spears’ New Album
The up-and-coming U.K. pop star Charli XCX might be getting one of her biggest breaks yet, as Britney Spears has enlisted Charli to help write some songs for Spears’ upcoming and untitled album, according to Digital Spy.
“I was freaking out,” said Charli, who also co-wrote one of the biggest underdog pop hits of recent, Icona Pop’s “I Love It.” “I didn’t even want to go to the session I was so excited. I was so worried I would f**k it up… I was doing some stuff for that yesterday actually. Who knows how it will go. We’ve written one song and it’s a great track and if she likes it then amazing. It was just an honor to be asked.”
Meanwhile, Britney Spears’ announced that new music from her is coming “MUCH sooner than you think.” We don’t know much about Ms. Spears’ forthcoming project, other than executive producer will.i.am and a countdown clock on her website that ends on Sept. 17 at 9:30 a.m. Stay tuned…
