A man was arrested after being caught living in Jennifer Lopez‘s pool house in Southampton, New York for a week.
Jon M. Dubis of Rhode Island made Lopez’s pool house his home and lived there undetected until August 8 when workers noticed a suspicious male on the grounds and alerted authorities, according to Newsday.
Lopez already had an order of protection against Dubis, but he somehow made it onto her property, police said. Details on why JLo got an order of protection against Dubis have not been revealed.
The following day, Dubis was arraigned on two felonies, second-degree burglary and first-degree criminal contempt. As well as two misdemeanors: fourth-degree stalking and possession of burglar tools.
The suspect was being held in Suffolk County jail on a $100,000 bail. In a press statement from the police, the local Southampton Town court ordered Dubis to undergo an exam to determine whether he is “fit to proceed” on the criminal charges. Dubis’ next court date is Aug. 28.
Lopez has yet to comment on the incident.
