Katy Perry wants her fans to choose her next single off Prism, her upcoming album out Oct. 22.
Using Twitter, the singer, along with sponsor Pepsi, will be asking fans to tweet their choice for her next single over the weekend, AdWeek reports. Fans will be given two tracks to choose between and the winner will be announced moments before she performs her new single “Roar” on this Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards.
The chosen single will then be available at digital retailers Sept. 17. No word yet from Perry on what two songs are in the running, not that fans know any other song off Prism besides “Roar.”
Perry’s also teaming up with Pepsi–who premiered Beyonce’s song “Grown Woman” in a commercial earlier this year after signing her to a $50 million promotional deal–to offer fans a chance to learn more about Prism ahead of its release.
By using the hashtag #Katynow during her performance at the VMAs, fans can unlock clues like titles of songs and lyrics, as well as video messages from the performer talking about the inspiration behind her new tracks.
Hints about Perry’s VMA performance have also been revealed, including that she won’t be inside the Barclays Center, where the awards are taking place this year. Instead she’ll be performing from a secret “iconic location” somewhere in Brooklyn.
