Katy Perry roars onto the lineup for the 2013 VMAs.

A few hours after Perry released the lyric video for “Roar,” the first single off her upcoming album Prism (Oct. 22), MTV announced that the singer would perform the song for the first time live at the VMAs.

Perry will join already announced acts Kanye West and Lady Gaga–who also premiered her song today–and likely performers, Daft Punk.

Last week, Stephen Colbert appeared to have spilled the beans about a secret performance from the French electronic duo as retaliation for the band pulling out of a scheduled appearance on his show, The Colbert Report. The network has yet to officially announce whether or not Daft Punk will actually be playing in their house.

The 30th annual MTV Video Music Awards air live from Brooklyn’s Barclays Center Aug. 25.
