Just three days after announcing their first North American tour in three years, Seattle rock legends Pearl Jam have delivered an October 15th release date for their new album, Lightning Bolt. The album is preceded by the hard-charging, punk-tinged first single, “Mind Your Manners,” which the band also premiered today.

The new album was revealed with a 41-second video trailer that went live after the “PJ Countdown Clock” struck zero on the band’s official website. It was the same online clock that led up to the tour announcement earlier in the week (trailer below).

Lightning Bolt will be the band’s tenth studio album, and the first new full-length from Pearl Jam since 2009’s Backspacer, which was released with a controversial promotion with big-box retailer Target, which generated grumbling among some longtime fans.

The first of the band’s two-leg, 24-date tour launches in Pittsburgh on October 11, and culminates with Pearl Jam’s headlining appearance at this year’s Voodoo Music + Arts Festival in New Orleans over the November 1 weekend. The tour’s second leg starts in Dallas on November 15 and wraps with a homecoming show in Seattle on December 6. Tickets for the dates go on sale July 27. Full tour dates below.
