Falling In Reverse Stands With Rap Crowd In ‘Alone’ Video, New Album Date

"Taking chances needs to happen in order to grow."

Falling In Reverse has announced the release of their second studio album Fashionably Late but their first single, “Alone,” has already drawn a crowd.

Launched Tuesday (May 7), the “Alone” video has already earned over 300,000 views, at press time.

The former Escape The Fate frontman Ronnie Radke took a page out of the rap video handbook; complete with a jet, money, girls and a Ferrari. Exiting the private jet, the band sets the tone dressed in Kanye-inspired white suits.

The single is likely to ruffle some fans’ feathers with Radke’s stap at rapping over EDM production style.

White boy on the beat rockin’ Gucci sneaks, All I do is win, Charlie Sheen/ Started out in ’06, And revived the scene/ So many mother f***ers wanna be like me”

Radke backed up his new style in a message yesterday: “Taking chances needs to happen in order to grow,” he tweeted.

“My dad raised me on metal, but my first serious love was hip-hop,” Ronnie explained in a press release. “When I heard Dr. Dre’s The Chronic, that’s when I fell in love. I didn’t know what the hell they were talking about, the beats were intertwined, and it came inside of me and took me over. When we added hip-hop elements I was thinking, ‘Should I do this? This sounds crazy! Are people going to like this?’ Now I’ve never been so proud of something.” The final product, Fashionably Late, is the best work I’ve ever done.”

With comments disabled on the band’s YouTube page, fans have taken to iTunes to post early reviews of “Alone.” The reviews showed a polarized audience.

“The hell is this garbage? Dude sounds like weird al when he is rapping,” said one reviewer while another weighed in, “Alone” is freaking amazing, it is hardcore, mean, ruthless, and has a great sound to it.”

During a concert at Six Flags (New Jersey) last September, Radke hurled a mic stand into the crowd causing fan injuries. He was arrested without incident and was later released on a $30,000 bail. Earlier in August, the metal singer was arrested at his Glendale, CA home for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend.

The band is on tour through May 25 with rapping rockers Hollywood Undead. Fashionably Late in stores June 18.
