On the right-wing website WND, the outspoken rocker labels public schools as “social engineering indoctrination camps,” and claims that those “camps” are “Intentionally sending the message to kids and parents alike that guns are evil. Commie community organizer Saul Alinsky [the polarizing figure who is celebrated for his methods of community organizing] would be proud.”
He argues that Obama and his ilk are working the education system, Saul Alinsky-style, to destroy gun rights in America.
The Nuge rails against the National Education Association (“the largest contributor to the bigger/more-control government-approved party [formerly known as the Democratic Party],” he writes), and paints a scenario where students get thrown out of schools for expressing fondness for guns, and then go home, only to play (violent) video games:
“Hardly a day goes by without some kid being expelled from an NEA-controlled social engineering indoctrination camp for wearing a pro-gun T-shirt or simply drawing a picture of a gun… The purpose of kicking little Billy out of school for drawing a picture of a gun or wearing a pro-gun T-shirt or eating a locked and loaded pop-tart is to simply vilify guns…Kicking little Billy out of school provides him even more time to play video games, many of which are violent.”
He outlines a world where there is a double standard tilted in favor of President Obama and abortion while gun rights are trampled by the left.
“Of course, if a kid showed up wearing a shirt with a picture of the president’s mug on it and the words ‘Like President Obama, I support abortion,’ that would be just fine as that message fits the ‘fundamental transformation’ agenda even though abortion, not guns, is what’s eliminating the inner-city population.”
He goes on to say if children “were taught the truth about guns, the leftist plan to destroy the Second Amendment unravels and swirls down the drain like body parts of the murdered babies of the Philadelphia Angel of Death.”
Nugent’s latest column follows other scathing remarks and outspoken opinions on gun control and the Obama administration. He also caused a stir when he called for the public hanging of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, who is now-charged as one of the Boston Marathon bombers.
Outside of making headlines for his opinions, Nugent will be performing with Styx and REO Speedwagon at the St. Augustine Ampitheatre in St. Augustine, Florida, Friday (May 3).
