With tickets to their anticipated Save Rock and Roll Tour going on sale today in most markets, the recently reunited Fall Out Boy is making sure fans’ enthusiasm for the band’s return stays at a fever pitch. One way they’re fueling this with new music.

Late Thursday (April 5), the band unveiled a catchy acoustic-guitar-powered new track titled “Young Volcanos.” The cheerful, hand-clapping sing-along falls in contrast to the more aggressive new singles from the band, “The Phoenix” and “My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light Em Up).” “Young Volcanos” harkens back to the band’s 2005 crowd-pleasers “Dance, Dance” and “Sugar, We’re Going Down.” Listen below.

The first album of new material from the band since 2008′s Folie Á Deux, Save Rock and Roll hosts a cavalcade of collaborators including Courtney Love, Elton John and Georgia rapper 2 Chainz. When the first of these collaborations was revealed to be Mr. Chainz, fans were dumbstruck.

“The night I went out with 2 Chainz to talk about this, we took a picture together,” Pete Wentz told MTV. “He posted it on the Internet like, ‘Fall Out Boy featuring 2 Chainz.’ Kids were like, ‘That’s not real.’”

Last week, Fall Out Boy also revealed the video for second Save Rock and Roll single “The Phoenix,” in which frontman Patrick Stump is dismembered and his bandmates kidnapped. Also last week, the band revealed its tour dates in a very creative clip.

Save Rock and Roll is out April 16 on Island Def Jam Records.
