During an interview with Radio.com, the topic of summer festivals came up and the band revealed two lineups they’ll be on.
“Sasquatch and Lolla definitely are very famous, very fun festivals that we’re actually going to be playing this year,” drummer Daniel Platzman revealed.
Guitarist Wayne Sermon said one episode of The Simpsons in particular helped put the Chicago fest on the map.
“Ever since that Simpsons episode of Lollapalooza with the Smashing Pumpkins there it’s like, ‘Yeah, that’s the festival to go to,'” Sermon said. “Bonnaroo has a great lineup this year as well.”
So who else will be joining Imagine Dragons at Lollapalooza?
Although Mumford & Sons have been reported likely to play the August 2-4 Chicago festival by the Chicago Tribune, the folk-rock group are set to headline the Osheaga Festival in Montreal, QC, that very same weekend. However, Imagine Dragons are also on the Osheaga lineup, so it’s not impossible to play both. In fact, Mumford and Imagine Dragons might just bump into each other in the airport or on the long road between Chicago and Montreal.
Lollapalooza tickets went on sale earlier today. Early bird three-day passes and the regular three-day passes already sold out but one-day tickets are still available for $95. The complete Lollapalooza lineup will be revealed April 9th.
