Call him “Ambitious,” call him “Gifted” – just don’t call him “whale.”

Wale just released a trailer for his third full-length album, the follow-up to 2011’s Ambition. Titled The Gifted, the album will hit stores June 25 through Rick Ross’ Maybach Music Group/Atlantic Records.

The Chad Tennies-directed clip hints at themes of hustling in the music industry and shows a pensive and shadowy Wale superimposed with black and white concert footage. Watch below.

A soft beat plays behind the rapper’s narration, an inspiring ode to fans that plays on the album’s theme.

“The hustler, priding his self on the very things they hate him for,” Wale says in the video. “The Gifted. Aren’t we all? I said, ‘Aren’t we all?’ May we all live level-headed and dream even higher. And when them f****** nay-saying and doubting, think about it. Dream even higher. The Gifted.”

Ambition featured artists like Kid Cudi, Miguel and Rick Ross, but it remains to be seen who might be making appearances on The Gifted.

“I’m very excited about the music, because it’s very reminiscent of my earlier work with [producer] Mark Ronson and things of that nature,” Wale said of The Gifted late last year.

It is confirmed, however, that the rapper is teaming up with comedian Jerry Seinfeld on another project, also due out this year. The Album About Nothing will be a nod to Seinfeld’s ’90s sitcom, in which Jerry and pal George Costanza pitch a “Show About Nothing” to NBC TV execs.

“He wanted me to do something with him and I didn’t understand it but he did. So I said, I’ll do it even though I didn’t know what I was going to do,” joked Seinfeld in a teaser released back in January. Watch below.

The Gifted will be out on June 25, while details on The Album About Nothing are yet to be released.
