After being held in the hospital for nearly a week in ICU, Lil Wayne was released on Tuesday (March 19). And his @Liltunechi account has the tweet to prove it.

While the circumstances surrounding Wayne’s hospital stay are shaky, a tweet from Wayne’s account gave the latest word on his health.

“I’m feeling a lot better and again thk u all for ur love and prayers. It was truly felt…pause.”

Early reports from TMZ claimed that rapper was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles this past Tuesday (March 12) for seizures. An early message from Lil Wayne’s Twitter account intended to reassure his fans but instead created more confusion.

“I’m good everybody,” the tweet read on March 13, when he was reportedly unconscious and in ICU. “Thx for the prayers and love.”

Prior to his recent tweet, Wayne’s Young Money label head, Mack Maine, confirmed that Weezy was going home.

“Thanks to Cedar Sinai for everything!!!” Maine tweeted yesterday. “@LilTunechi has been officially been released and is headed home….God is great.”

While the recent reports seem to be looking up for Lil Wayne, TMZ was criticized for reporting that Wayne was being read his last rites and removing the post without notice or explanation.

“They freaked the world out with that,” said Cash Money CEO/rapper Birdman in a radio interview. “TMZ, I don’t do the blog thing [but] we got family and kids. When you are putting out false rumors like that you can damage families like that or have them feared.”
