Lil Wayne was reportedly rushed to the hospital after convulsing in seizures at a video shoot in Los Angeles on Tuesday (March 12).
While details are scarce concerning his health, according to TMZ, Wayne was taken to Cedars-Sinai hospital and later released on Wednesday. He was shooting the video for “Tapout,” a Birdman song that also features Future, Mack Maine and Nicki Minaj.
In October of 2012 Wayne’s private plane made an emergency landing when he sufferd his first widely reported seizure.
Wayne recently announced the release date for his forthcoming album, I Am Not a Human Being 2, and unveiled the cover art. Hitting stands March 26, it will be the rapper’s tenth studio album.
Rick Ross has been similarly plagued by health concerns due to seizures. In April, Ross canceled a show in Guyana when he “suffered a medical emergency,” which followed a string of seizures in 2011.
“I felt a little wore out but I felt like I could keep going,” Ross said at the time. “And I boarded a jet and I had another seizure and when I snapped out of that one, I woke up in front of doctor.”
Stay tuned for more details as they emerge.
