Supermom Beyoncé Knowles is finally spilling the beans on how she snapped back into tip-top shape in just three months after giving birth to daughter Blue Ivy last January.

The singer covers the April issue of Shape magazine in a bright color-blocked bikini, revealing her stay-fit secrets in a behind-the-scenes video for the cover shoot (below).

“I gained 57 pounds when I was pregnant,” Beyoncé said in the clip. “I didn’t have a lot of time to lose the weight, because I scheduled a show three months after I gave birth, which I would never do again.”

The performer rocked the Super Bowl halftime stage just last month, showing off her fit body with plenty of killer choreography. Bey also recently showed off her killer body by posing on the cover of GQ wearing little more than designer panties.

In the video, Beyonce told Shape that dancing is one of her favorite ways to stay active, adding, “I’m not a person that is naturally very thin. I am a person that has to work at keeping my body in shape.”

Beyoncé reportedly shed the baby weight by combining cardio and lunges with a balanced diet, including one vegan meal a day, according to an interview with her trainer.

If her colorful cover shot is any indication, the singer is certainly doing something right. She emphasizes the importance of keeping health a priority and that loving your body means being true to yourself.

“Not everyone is supposed to be the same,” she said. “Be healthy and take care of yourself, but be happy with the beautiful things that make you, you.”

With a schedule as busy as Beyoncé’s, shedding nearly 60 pounds in three months is no easy feat – but it probably helps that shaking it on stage every night is part of her job description. Beyoncé is currently touring Europe, with the North American leg of her jaunt kicking off in June. See the full list of dates below.
